1. Beijing Kitchen
Bejing Kitchen at 342 State St. SE touts itself as a simple Chinese eatery with a lunch buffet and familiar options, including Mongolian beef and orange chicken.
Some of the top orders continue to be the local spots’ Chow Fun, which consists of Hong Kong soft noodles with scrambled eggs or vegetables. The Chicken Chow Fun rings up at $14.50.
Other tasty options include the lunch and dinner specials, which are served with fried rice or white rice and a choice between a crab cheese rangoon, an egg roll or soup.

2. Chopstick House
Chopstick House at 2240 28th St. SW in Wyoming is a modest spot located in a strip mall serving Chinese-American classics for dine-in and carryout.
Customers rave about the crab rangoons and dinner combo specials, which include fried rice and an egg roll. Popular combination plates include orange chicken for $10.55, Egg Foo Young for $11.75 and sesame chicken for $10.55.

3. Gaslight Kitchen
Gaslight Kitchen at 2128 Wealthy St. SE has been serving up a modern ambiance combined with a traditional style of cuisine for over 20 years.
“Whether it’s a quick stop for lunch or a full-course dinner for the entire family to enjoy, our family makes sure to serve you like you’re a part of our family,” as stated on the restaurant website.
Customer favorites on the menu continue to be spicy options like the General Tso chicken, hot & sour soup, savory combination fried rice, Moo Shu pork, and steamed dumplings.
Another popular order is the choice to create your own option, where patrons can choose their protein and one style of cooking, including hot and spice with curry sauce or sauteed with vegetables in a rich brown sauce.

4. Golden Wok
Golden Wok at 1971 E. Beltline Ave. NE is described as a basic sit-down restaurant with a traditional Chinese menu and a wide variety of lunch specials.
“At Golden Wok, we commit to try our best to satisfy your cravings as well as provide a warm ambiance and mouthwatering dishes,” as stated on the website.
The family-owned restaurant has customers flocking to the space for its dine-in lunch specials. It comes with an egg roll, crab cheese, a choice of fried rice or steamed rice, and a choice of egg drop soup or hot and sour soup.

Jia Tuan at 3500 Remembrance Rd. NW offers Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine for dine-in, carryout or buffet style.
The quaint restaurant touts its fresh ingredients used in favorite appetizers and dishes like homemade egg rolls, Ta Chen Chicken, house special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and much more.

No. 1 Chinese Restaurant at 4640 West River Rd., Suite G touts itself as the #1 Chinese restaurant in the Grand Rapids area, hence the namesake.
Popular options on the menu include the hot and sour soup for $3-$5.25, Chicken Chop Suey combination plate for $9.75 and Egg Foo Young with rice and gravy for $8.25-$11.75.

Stir Fry Express at 1941 Balwin St. has been a staple in the Grand Rapids area to get quality Chinese food available for cash only.

All entrees are served with steamed rice daily (substitute fried rice for $3.25). On Sundays, the dinners come with free soup and an egg roll for both dine-in and carryout.
